Craft to do

A lot on this blog, I'll demonstrate how to do a certain craft. I'll start out with one that I learned to do from my homework. It's a ragdoll. You will need:

  • about 15 yards of yarn
  • a cotton ball or small styrofoam
  • markers
  • piece of cardboard - the bigger you want your doll to be, the bigger piece of cardboard and more yarn you'll need - suggested size is 7'' by 5''

First, start wrapping your cardboard around the cardboard until gone. Tip: If you end up using cardstock or stiff paper instead of cardboard, try not to let it bend. Next, you'll want to take another small piece of yarn and wrap it around the top of the yarn, at the top of the yarn. Once you've tied the yarn, cut the bottom of the yarn so that the yarn falls off the cardboard. Take your styrofoam ball, an put under the yarn. Cover the ball up so you can't see it. Then, take another small piece of yarn to tie under the yarn, You've just made your doll's head. Now, seperate your yarn into four pieces. Those pieces will be the limbs of your doll. tie small pieces of yarn at the length you want your doll's arms and legs to be. Finally, tie another piece of yarn around the doll's waist. Now decorate! :) Have funa nd be creative!
